Key Responsibilities

  • •Own a capability area end to end, including charter, budget, scope, and roadmap, partnered with an Engineering Lead.
  • •Lead a cross-functional capability team of hardware, software, and systems engineers to deliver capability for customer expectations.
  • •Build and defend annual internal R&D submissions through senior leadership review, holding funded efforts to their charters.
  • •Define and enforce exit criteria so capability transitions cleanly into programme teams and runs in their pipelines.
  • •Coordinate test events from hardware-in-the-loop simulation through ground test and live flight demonstrations, while partnering with US teams on shared baseline and UK-controlled elements.

Key Requirements

  • •BEng/BSc/MEng in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • •8+ years of relevant experience in engineering, systems integration, or technical programme management.
  • •Proven experience owning programme management or engineering delivery for sophisticated hardware and software systems.
  • •Strong technical aptitude to read and interrogate technical designs and assess technical risk across software lifecycles and systems engineering.
  • •Experience delivering engineering work under export control and security classification, including eligibility to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance to a minimum of SC level.
