Key Responsibilities

  • •Run technology scouting via instrumented spikes and benchmarking on emerging AI models, tools, and frameworks.
  • •Design and maintain evaluation harnesses/sandboxes (datasets, prompts, scenarios, telemetry) with regression tracking over time.
  • •Prototype systems to validate behavior under realistic conditions, including architecture/integration patterns and failure modes.
  • •Translate findings into decision memos and readiness guidance (patterns, guardrails, limitations) for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • •Coordinate hand-offs with engineering teams for productionization and use post-decision outcomes to improve future evaluation methods.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of software engineering experience with senior/Staff-level scope.
  • •Deep hands-on experience building and evaluating systems based on LLMs and modern AI tooling.
  • •Experience with agentic or multi-step AI systems (tool use, orchestration, state, retrieval, external integrations).
  • •Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge, preferably AWS, with secure and cost-conscious experimentation.
  • •Experience with observability/telemetry and benchmarking, plus reasoning about architecture, reliability, scalability, and distributed components.
