Job Summary

Own the operational backbone of the UK business transformation, running day-to-day operations across UK entities and EMI operations. Key Responsibilities

•Run day-to-day operations across UK entities, including EMI operations at Payward Services Limited, covering safeguarding, payment services requirements, operational risk, incident management, outsourcing coordination, audit/regulatory readiness, and management reporting.
•Lead operational work behind FCA authorisation efforts, including crypto (CASP) authorisation and MiFID scope application, partnering with Legal, Compliance, and the UK CEO to translate requirements into governance, controls, documentation, and evidence.
•Serve as the operational counterpart to the FCA alongside Legal and Compliance for information requests, supervisory queries, incident notifications, and follow-up actions.
•Identify and execute UK growth opportunities, prioritizing payments by scaling EMI and fiat rails, growing institutional and B2B payments, and securing commercial partnerships.
•Own UK product operations and launch readiness centered on payments, gate go-lives against regulatory/operational requirements, oversee financial promotions (three lines of defence), and build controls to ship regulated products quickly and scale.

Key Requirements

•8–12 years of experience with roots in strategy consulting (MBB, Big 4 strategy, or boutique) and strong operational execution in-house or in industry.
•Experience operating inside a scaling UK fintech, bank, or crypto firm in roles such as special projects, chief of staff, operations strategy, or operations lead.
•Deep familiarity with UK regulation from operating in an FCA regulated firm, ideally MiFID investment firm, bank, or EMI, including SMCR, safeguarding, financial promotions, Consumer Duty, and outsourcing rules.
•Proven ability to run complex cross-functional programmes without formal authority over the people involved, and to take on work beyond your job description.
•Structured approach to governance and controls, with strong communication across regulators, boards, engineers, and commercial partners.
