Job Summary

Operate and support gravure press production by receiving product, stacking/palletizing, printing pallet labels, and verifying work quality and accuracy. Assist with press downtime tasks, make-ready activities (rollers, cylinders, doctor blades, print units), and roll stand operations. Where applicable, drive forklifts for safe material handling, waste/recycling movements, and documentation, while consistently following OHSE, PPE, and food safety requirements such as cGMP and HACCP.

Key Responsibilities

•Receive product from press, stack and place on pallets; print pallet labels with Pecas and verify docket/job information to ensure correct loading.
•Review jobs for quality and accuracy, ensuring finished product is error-free and notifying operators immediately of problems or errors.
•Perform downtime, clean-up, and make-ready tasks, including webbing the press, assisting operators, cleaning press areas, and maintaining doctor blades and related components.
•Maintain compliance with OHSE, PPE, hazardous materials/waste handling, and safety lifting procedures while keeping work areas safe and neat.
•Where applicable, support roll stand and forklift operations: prepare/mount rolls, maintain varnish viscosity, split cores, operate lift trucks safely, and complete required paperwork.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or GED) plus one to three years of related production experience and/or training (or an equivalent education/experience combination).
•Very good mechanical and physical ability, with the capability to perform production tasks safely.
•Lift truck operators must have and maintain safety training for operation of company equipment.
•Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform prolonged standing, stooping, bending, reaching, balancing, and related physical demands.
•Ability to rotate shifts and be available to work in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when needed.
