Job Summary

Drive the strategy and execution of new “bets” for Thumbtack’s New Ventures team within Business Development. Act as a GM to develop OKRs/KPIs, source and develop partners, and project/program manage initiatives across a portfolio. Lead cross-functional workstreams with Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, Data Science, Sales, and Commercial Strategy to test, refine, and deliver measurable growth outcomes, while aligning roadmaps and scaling successful opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the strategy and execution of new ventures, defining OKRs and KPIs to measure success across a portfolio of projects.
•Source and develop new partners (when applicable) and coordinate with other business development teams to ensure partner alignment.
•Project/program manage initiatives within the new ventures portfolio.
•Identify and define requirements to stand up a new bet and the requirements to scale when needed.
•Lead cross-functional workstreams to develop, test, refine, and iterate initiatives to achieve KPIs and inform future vertical and partnership strategy.

Travel: Medium travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 119,300 - 181,500 annually

Key Requirements

•7+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, strategy, and/or management consulting (or comparable experience).
•Experience setting and achieving revenue goals or other financial metrics.
•Ability to facilitate a path forward by balancing diverse perspectives and priorities.
•Comfort operating at the intersection of strategy, operations, business development, and technology.
•Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external partners, with the ability to persuade and influence.
