Job Summary

Lead Food Safety, Quality and Compliance at the Omagh dairy site, overseeing a 4-person team, reporting to the Plant Manager, and collaborating with the Global Quality function to drive and sustain FSQ standards (GFSI, HACCP, ISO) across the site. You will manage audits, risk, customer and regulatory requirements, and promote a Safety First, Quality Always culture on a full-time onsite maternity-cover contract lasting 1 year.

Key Responsibilities

•Food Safety Leadership: Lead food safety strategy and maintain GFSI, HACCP, and FSQ standards; Support risk management and manage food safety incidents; Contribute to site strategy and align key stakeholders.
•Compliance and Regulatory Assurance: Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and product requirements; Lead audits, inspections, and customer visits; Manage certification programmes including ISO, FSSC, Halal, and Kosher.
•Continuous Improvement: Monitor FSQ KPIs and drive improvement initiatives; Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions; Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance performance and efficiency.
•Customer Focus: Act as the primary FSQ contact for customers; Manage complaints, investigations, and incident communications.
•Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and coach the Quality team; Manage recruitment, performance, engagement, and budgets; Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

•Min. 5 years’ experience in Quality Management within food manufacturing or similar environment;
•Previous experience managing teams;
•Solid knowledge of food safety systems, audits, and regulatory requirements;
•Proven ability to influence stakeholders in a matrix organization;
•Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills;
•Excellent communication skills and customer focus
