Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct supplier selection using the approved supplier list and develop a sourcing strategy using market knowledge, supplier rationalisation, and commodity pricing to drive efficiency and cost.
  • •Partner with strategic suppliers through concept scoping, feature trade-offs, total cost of ownership modeling, and joint design development (including simulation of mechanical and electronics designs).
  • •Develop and consolidate a manufacturing BOM with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers, with high flexibility.
  • •Own NPI component procurement accountability (on-time and correct) and manage requests for supplier-related CAPEX verification throughout NPI.
  • •Lead BOM risk assessment and component qualification follow-through, reduce supply chain complexity through commonality optimization, and run value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and flexibility.

Key Requirements

  • •Background in design and development of electronics devices and/or advanced sourcing activities (e.g., commodity/sourcing management).
  • •Experience with supplier development and early supplier engagement ahead of product/engineering requirement realization.
  • •Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
  • •Familiarity developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BSME, BSEE) or other related technical degree, and must be eligible to obtain an Australian NV1 clearance.
