Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant’s refrigeration and related systems.
  • •Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on ammonia refrigeration, boiler, air compressor, and hot water systems.
  • •Follow Tyson safety precautions and health hazard procedures for ammonia.
  • •Maintain compliance with state, federal, and local regulations including OSHA and EPA.
  • •Participate as an Emergency Response Team Member and complete other assigned duties.

Key Requirements

  • •1 year of industrial maintenance/electrical training and 1 year of ammonia refrigeration or HVAC operator experience.

  • •Effective communication skills, including specification/technical writing skills.
  • •Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and ability to complete required training.
  • •Experience with anhydrous ammonia systems and ability to obtain SCBA certification; IIAR training modules and PSM experience are required/expected.
