  • •Lead the delivery of technically complex hydraulic designs across major building projects, ensuring compliance with NCC, Australian Standards, and local authority requirements
  • •Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineers, technicians, and designers to solve technical challenges and ensure integrated, high-quality project outcomes
  • •Partner with project managers and team leaders to align on priorities, resourcing, and program delivery, contributing to project success and team performance
  • •Engage directly with external clients to define project scopes, manage expectations, and deliver practical engineering solutions
  • •Mentor and support junior engineers and designers through technical guidance, reviews, and knowledge sharing to build team capability and excellence

Key Requirements

  • •Ideally, 5+ years’ professional experience in building services or hydraulic engineering consultancy, ideally with Chartered status or working toward professional registration (e.g., CPEng, RPEQ, or Registered Design Practitioner)
  • •Proven ability to produce high-quality technical documentation, specifications, reports, and drawings for hydraulic systems across a range of building typologies
  • •Strong knowledge of the NCC, relevant Australian Standards, Fire and Rescue requirements, and local authority statutory approvals processes
  • •Proficiency with engineering and documentation tools such as MS Office, Bluebeam, and relevant hydraulic design software
  • •Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and interact confidently with clients and internal teams
