Job Summary

Lead pre-sales and proof-of-concept work as a hands-on technical authority for ScyllaDB. Partner with sales to win the technical case, review production deployments, and help prospects tune and benchmark ScyllaDB. Design and document end-to-end solutions (including integration guides), build training materials, and collaborate across solution architects and product/engineering to feed real customer feedback into the roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

•Win the technical case by partnering with sales to demonstrate ScyllaDB’s value and drive adoption.
•Guide prospects to production by providing technical reviews, recommendations, and benchmarking/tuning support during proof-of-concepts.
•Build and document ScyllaDB solutions, including integration guides and benchmarks for third-party tools working with ScyllaDB.
•Develop training materials and deliver customer training to help users get the most out of the platform.
•Collaborate with other Solution Architects and act as a bridge between customers and product management/engineering with real feedback.

Key Requirements

•4+ years in a Pre-Sales or Solution Architect role owning the technical relationship with prospects.
•Deep Linux fluency, comfortable operating, troubleshooting, and tuning in Linux environments.
•Hands-on NoSQL expertise, including deploying and managing NoSQL databases and data modeling (e.g., Cassandra/DataStax, MongoDB, Redis).
•Coding ability with scripting (e.g., Python, Node.js) and/or programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, C#) to build, integrate, and demonstrate solutions.
•Hands-on big-data ecosystem exposure (e.g., Spark, Kafka, time-series and graph databases) plus an undergraduate degree in engineering/computer science.
•Outstanding written and verbal communication to explain complex technical concepts to engineers and executives.
