Job Summary

Help advance the venue’s zero-waste sustainability goals by leading post-show sorting of recycling, composting, and landfill materials and educating band members and fans on their role. Partner with the Venue Sustainability Coordinator as part of the venue operations team, support employee engagement activities like water bottle refill programs, and complete Zero Waste Captain training. This is a seasonal, part-time show-days role with hours varying by schedule.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in the post-show sorting process for recycling, composting, and landfill materials.
•Serve as an ambassador to band members to help them understand their role in achieving venue sustainability goals.
•Support employee engagement programs such as water bottle refill punch cards and post-show sort giveaways.
•Engage fans and encourage participation in sustainability activities and education.
•Participate in Zero Waste Captain training.

Key Requirements

•Be able to spend about 90% of the time walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs, with about 65% focused on sorting materials.
•Work well with other departments and contribute to venue sustainability goals.
•Have experience in events; zero waste events experience is a plus.
•Bring a positive attitude, creativity, and a problem-solving mindset.
•Demonstrate strong teamwork and the ability to execute sustainability programs.
