Job Summary

Perform mechanical installation, repair, and preventive/predictive maintenance to keep machinery running with minimal downtime. Diagnose equipment breakdowns, select tools, and carry out maintenance in line with safety and plant operational requirements. Use SAP to order spare parts and maintain maintenance records, handle abnormality reporting, and recommend modifications for repeated failures. Run daily PM inspections and checklists, support troubleshooting across departments, and mentor newly joined mechanics.

Key Responsibilities

•Handle mechanical equipment breakdowns and planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance to minimize production downtime.
•Assess job requirements, select necessary tools and equipment, and ensure maintenance work follows safety and plant operational requirements.
•Use SAP to order spare parts and maintain records of completed maintenance work.
•Identify and report abnormalities; initiate repairs, replacements, tests, and assemblies of worn or failed components/parts.
•Run daily PM inspections and checklists, participate in BE activities (Suggestion Scheme, 5S, Hazard Reporting, TAMAHAL/PEER), and mentor newly joined mechanics.

Key Requirements

•Diploma in a relevant field and completion of PEC Craft Training.
•3+ years of relevant experience in a heavy industry after completing the diploma.
•Good working knowledge of written and spoken English.
•Familiarity with maintenance tools and strong computer skills.
•Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, manuals, and instructions.
