Key Responsibilities

  • •Own shift quality control activities across all lines and shifts, promoting customer quality standards.
  • •Stop production and isolate product when customer requirements are not met.
  • •Plan and control shift quality and hygiene activities to ensure compliance with third-party management standards and Sonoco quality requirements.
  • •Maintain and use quality measurement tools (gauging and vision inspection systems), including calibration and initial fault diagnosis.
  • •Prepare documented shift handovers and regular shift quality reports; represent the plant during customer audits as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Quality-related background essential.
  • •Internal Auditor trained.
  • •HACCP knowledge.
  • •Problem solving experience (e.g., 4c, DMAIC, 5Y).
  • •Working knowledge of SPC; experience with the can making process is advantageous.
