  • •Use diagnostic tools, manuals, and technical knowledge to identify mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues and determine repairs.
  • •Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and component replacements to support reliability and reduce downtime.
  • •Follow safety standards, regulatory requirements, lockout procedures, and safe work practices in an industrial environment.
  • •Complete work orders, maintenance records, parts requests, and related documentation accurately and on time.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification or an Interprovincial/Provincial Certificate of Qualification (equivalent Canadian trade certification may be considered).
  • •Have previous experience maintaining and repairing heavy-duty mobile equipment in an industrial, forestry, mining, construction, transportation, or manufacturing environment.
  • •Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills with practical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, drivetrains, electrical systems, and computerized diagnostic tools.
  • •Follow safety requirements, including lockout procedures, safe work practices, and regulatory requirements in a mill environment.
  • •Have a valid driver’s licence, physical ability to perform the full scope of the role, and flexibility for overtime or shift coverage when required.
