Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive maintenance and repairs, including DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on trailers and equipment.
  • •Document work and findings on Repair Orders (RO), including uploading photos, using a company-issued iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application.
  • •Perform minor adjustments and repairs on trailer systems including brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps and engines, liftgates, and brake chambers.
  • •Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion.
  • •Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components while complying with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations and safe operating practices.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience in a related field (Trailers), or an equivalent combination such as additional education/certification or 5 years’ experience.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •OEM training and certifications preferred.
  • •Complete all-in company required training.
  • •Meet DOT-regulated requirements: complete DOT physical/background screening and maintain a current DOT medical card and valid driver’s license.
