Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify, vet, and coordinate commercial engagement and negotiation with Chinese and other low-cost suppliers in collaboration with category managers and technical stakeholders.
  • •Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand category business requirements and ensure procurement intelligence aligns with business objectives and demand forecasts.
  • •Conduct market scoping and opportunity scanning, including research on trends, emerging opportunities, cost drivers, and the competitive landscape.
  • •Perform initial supplier assessments and classify suppliers into tiers, supporting compliance and documentation during supplier onboarding and qualification.
  • •Maintain an opportunity portfolio, compile and analyze category data, and prepare regular reports/dashboards to inform sourcing decisions and cost optimization initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • •Undergraduate bachelor degree level or equivalent in Business Administration, Management or Engineering.
  • •Proven track record of extensive practical experience in a relevant field.
  • •Good technical knowledge across the supply chain value chain, including safety and sustainability as it relates to supply chain and inclusive procurement.
  • •Strong commercial and negotiation skills, including deal-making, business case development, and investment appraisal.
  • •Advanced knowledge of Chinese and other low-cost sourcing markets, with intermediary category management and sourcing/contracting experience using a TCO approach.
