Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical advice on process safety, including process safety information, process risk analyses, safe installation design, and asset integrity.
  • •Lead and facilitate process safety studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, Hazardous Area Classification, Dust Assessments, and LOPA analyses.
  • •Identify improvement opportunities and implement process safety measures across the plant.
  • •Support and develop PSM elements including Asset Integrity, Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews (PSSR), safe work methods, human factors, and operational procedures.
  • •Analyze process-related incidents and perform root cause analyses; maintain and update process safety documentation such as P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and safety information.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 5 years’ experience in process safety and/or chemical process engineering, ideally within a production environment (chemical, energy/process, pharma, or food & beverage).
  • •Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) systems and process-safety methodologies.
  • •Bachelor’s or master’s in Chemical Technology, Process Engineering, or similar (Chartered Engineer/CEng or comparable accreditation is a plus).
  • •Strong knowledge of process safety principles, risk management, and experience performing risk analyses and safety studies.
  • •Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage people in process-safety improvements, with a proactive, practical, and independent approach.
