Investigate and manage litigated complex credit hire cases, handling a caseload of DA credit hire and injury files from litigation through to court outcomes. Review and analyze files, conduct legal research, draft elements of the defence and court documentation, and handle disclosure and pre-trial steps. Coordinate with solicitors, insureds, and insurers while maintaining actions in the case management system and ensuring SRA/ISO 9001 compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage a caseload of DA credit hire and injury files, reviewing and analysing files throughout each case in line with client guidelines.
•Develop an initial case strategy for approval by the Team Leader and carry out legal research.
•Undertake telephone negotiations with third-party solicitors and liaise with insureds and insurers as needed.
•Complete court-process tasks including drafting defences and responding to directions (e.g., questionnaires and pre-trial checklists).
•Ensure actions are completed in the Case Management System, complete MI processes, process bills, and maintain compliance with SRA standards and ISO 9001.

Key Requirements

•Experience of litigation and handling Credit Hire files with evidence of managing your own case load.
•At least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) is essential; a degree or LPC is preferable.

•Excellent listening and verbal communication skills, including good telephone negotiation skills.
•Good IT skills (Word, Outlook) and experience of a case management system are preferred.
