Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead projects to gather product requirements for hardware designs aligned with the company mission.
  • •Partner with vendors to specify, qualify, onboard, and deliver new hardware into the infrastructure ecosystem.
  • •Develop and execute a hardware development roadmap and work with peer teams to orchestrate scaling of the hardware platform.
  • •Improve firmware and hardware configuration automation/validation for hardware platforms and components such as NIC, storage, and BMC.
  • •Serve as Tier 3 escalation on-call for triage, investigation, and resolution of system hardware issues across the fleet and participate in 24/7 rotation.

Key Requirements

  • •Technical Degree (BS Computer Science/Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
  • •Strong understanding of x86 server hardware architecture and subsystems; ideally experience with non-x86 hardware.
  • •Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining liquid-cooled server solutions in datacenter environments.
  • •Professional proficiency in configuration management best practices (using Ansible and Chef).
  • •Ability to automate server components at large scale using tools such as Redfish and IPMI, including benchmarking and test/process automation.
