Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, manage, and oversee AML systems, processes, and controls (including PEP and sanctions screening) to ensure compliance with AML regulations for private markets and real estate funds.
  • •Support regulatory change by updating policies, processes, and documentation, and backing projects that implement required AML improvements.
  • •Identify, mitigate, and manage AML-related risks arising from real estate investments and transactions; report and escalate risks and address findings from auditors and compliance monitoring.
  • •Oversee third parties handling outsourced AML activities for Invesco IRE EMEA, including testing/site visits, reviewing MI and reports, and ensuring adherence to controls and KPIs.
  • •Lead escalation for ongoing transaction monitoring and suspicious activity handling for real estate fund transactions, including investigation, alerts management, and escalation to MLRO/Compliance as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Relevant AML experience in financial services, preferably asset management, with strong preference for real estate funds or real estate investment management.
  • •Experience managing regulatory change in both BAU and project environments, ideally involving real estate fund structures and transactions.
  • •Expertise in AML requirements and best practices as they relate to real estate funds and transactions, including excellent understanding of what an effective AML process looks like.
  • •Experience overseeing processes with third-party administrators, particularly those supporting real estate funds, including outsourcing AML/KYC oversight requirements.
  • •Excellent knowledge of current AML regulations and awareness of future regulatory changes impacting real estate funds.
