Job Summary

Provide technical leadership and design oversight for highway engineering designers on medium to large transportation projects across Greater Pennsylvania. Develop design approaches and delegate tasks, overseeing elements such as alignments, pavement design, signing/marking, phasing, utility conflict resolution, and constructability coordination. Lead development of 3D models in OpenRoads, calculations and reports, interdisciplinary reviews, and support proposal development to help win new work.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee development of highway design criteria, alignments, superelevation, barrier/guiderail, and spot elevation details.
•Oversee pavement design (rigid and flexible) and development of signing and pavement marking plans.
•Oversee construction phasing and maintenance of traffic based on interdisciplinary coordination and constructability reviews.
•Identify utility conflicts and coordinate resolutions through interdisciplinary constructability reviews, client feedback, and utility needs.
•Oversee development of 3D models in OpenRoads and produce technical calculations, reports, and interdisciplinary technical reviews.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 95,000 - 130,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering plus four years of related experience with highway transportation projects (or equivalent education/experience).
•EIT Certification.

•Demonstrated knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
•Preferred: OpenRoads (ORD) design software knowledge to oversee highway design and the 3D model.
