Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee development of highway design criteria, alignments, superelevation, barrier/guiderail, and spot elevation details.
  • •Oversee pavement design (rigid and flexible) and development of signing and pavement marking plans.
  • •Oversee construction phasing and maintenance of traffic based on interdisciplinary coordination and constructability reviews.
  • •Identify utility conflicts and coordinate resolutions through interdisciplinary constructability reviews, client feedback, and utility needs.
  • •Oversee development of 3D models in OpenRoads and produce technical calculations, reports, and interdisciplinary technical reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering plus four years of related experience with highway transportation projects (or equivalent education/experience).
  • •EIT Certification.
  • •Valid US Driver’s License to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
  • •Demonstrated knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
  • •Preferred: OpenRoads (ORD) design software knowledge to oversee highway design and the 3D model.
