Job Summary

Lead Wise’s Group & FinCrime Compliance Monitoring & Testing program, partnering with the Group & FinCrime CMT Lead to plan and execute global and UK-focused reviews. Supervise control testing and issue validation from scoping through reporting, build monitoring dashboards with data specialists, and maintain methodologies aligned to regulatory requirements and industry best practice. Manage governance and board-level reporting, collaborate across the Lines of Defence, and train both junior team members and first-line stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with the Group & FinCrime CMT Lead to define annual review plans and ensure timely execution.
•Support governance with regular management and board-level reporting on findings, trends, and risk levels.
•Supervise control reviews and issue validation end-to-end (scoping to reporting), ensuring methodology adherence and deliverable quality.
•Lead monitoring execution and rollout across key FinCrime risks, partnering with subject matter experts and data analysts to produce actionable insights.
•Maintain monitoring and testing methodologies aligned with global regulatory requirements and industry best practices; train first-line stakeholders and junior CMT team members.

Travel: Medium travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 89,000 - 127,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years leading assurance reviews and issue validation within Compliance, Financial Crime, Risk, or Audit functions.
•Strong knowledge of financial crime regulations, testing methodologies, and risk assessment frameworks (UK rules and global requirements).
•Proven ability to lead compliance monitoring and testing across multiple jurisdictions and collaborate with local and global teams.
•Experience coaching junior team members to deliver high-quality monitoring and testing work.
•Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., ACAMS, ICA) are preferred.
