Job Summary

Lead and support engineering work across the development, deployment, and operations of scalable data integration on GCP. You’ll help translate business and customer requirements into technical solutions, drive migration from on-prem to cloud (GCP/AWS), and build/operate pipelines using BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub. Provide mentorship, run load/performance testing, maintain operational best practices, and collaborate with teams using Git, JIRA, and Confluence.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams across development, deployment, and operations.
•Translate business and customer requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
•Drive migration and re-engineering of on-premises services to cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).
•Develop Python and shell scripts to automate infrastructure operations and server management.
•Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable data integration pipelines using BigQuery and Cloud SQL, including load and performance testing.

Key Requirements

•8-12 years of experience as a Lead Data Engineer/Developer with demonstrated cloud expertise (GCP).
•Expert proficiency in Python, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
•Hands-on experience with distributed data processing frameworks (Hadoop, NiFi, Kafka).
•Deep knowledge of the GCP ecosystem including GCS, BigQuery, Cloud Composer/Airflow, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub/Kafka, Dataflow, and Google Cloud SDK.
•Strong proficiency in Terraform and shell scripting for infrastructure as code (preferred certification in GCP Data Engineer or equivalent).
