Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise the business on legal and regulatory matters including general corporate, commercial, intellectual property, competition, and consumer protection law.
  • •Lead employment law and industrial relations matters, providing expert counsel for shared services operations and managing complex labor relations.
  • •Partner with senior leadership to structure and roll out legal frameworks for new business initiatives, partnerships, and strategic projects.
  • •Develop and improve corporate policies, commercial terms, and internal governance procedures to mitigate enterprise-wide risk.
  • •Draft, review, and negotiate complex high-value commercial agreements and oversee governance/corporate secretarial compliance, including instructing external counsel when needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and formal admission to the Malaysian Bar.
  • •Approximately 6 to 10+ years of post-qualification experience in law firms and/or an in-house legal department.
  • •Deep expertise in broad commercial and corporate law, including complex commercial transactions and corporate governance.
  • •Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced commercial environment; e-commerce/internet/logistics/fast-scaling tech advantageous.
  • •Strong commercial judgment and stakeholder management, with the ability to independently design actionable legal solutions.
