Key Responsibilities

  • •Establish reliability targets and metrics for vehicle components including actuators, batteries, drive units, PCBAs, chassis, and low-voltage electronics.
  • •Develop reliability test procedures and specifications (e.g., highly accelerated life testing and environmental testing) and apply acceleration models to predict product lifetime.
  • •Prepare test plans, analyze test reports, and provide updates on testing campaign progress.
  • •Guide engineering teams on failure modes, countermeasures, and design guidelines, including risk analysis to inform design decisions.
  • •Lead and facilitate FMEAs with cross-functional teams, develop design verification plans, and monitor field performance to identify failure trends.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline or equivalent, plus 2+ years of industry experience in a reliability engineering role.
  • •Technical knowledge of PCBA reliability, energy storage systems, drive units, and chassis components.
  • •Working knowledge of a coding language, preferably Python.
  • •Working knowledge of statistical reliability software such as JMP/ReliaSoft or MATLAB.
  • •Working knowledge of failure analysis techniques (SEM, CT, X-Ray, EDS, TDR) and instrumentation for data collection (thermocouples, strain gauges, accelerometers).
