Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead MiCA and EMI compliance strategies and operating model across entities, products, and jurisdictions.
  • •Advise the Board and Executive Committee on regulatory risk, remediation, resilience, licensing, and compliance priorities.
  • •Manage ongoing engagement with the Malta Financial Services Authority, including information requests, regulatory reporting, and supervisory commitments.
  • •Oversee compliance monitoring, control testing, regulatory changes, issue management, and marketing and outsourcing oversight.
  • •Lead DORA programme activities (gap analysis, register, documentation, remediation tracking, and awareness) and coordinate regulatory inspections.

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years of regulatory compliance experience in fintech, payments, VASP/CASP, digital assets, or comparable regulated financial services.
  • •Strong knowledge of MiCA, EMI, DORA, and applicable MFSA requirements.
  • •Experience engaging with European regulators (preferably MFSA) across RFIs, inspections, licensing, or authorization applications.
  • •Demonstrable experience leading a DORA implementation programme and coordinating regulatory inspections.
  • •Proven ability to lead multi-jurisdictional teams and produce regulator- and Board-facing documentation.
