Job Summary

Support the Fresh Food (FF) Category Manager to grow tMart by collecting supplier price quotes, compiling data, and proposing item allocations based on cost and service levels. Help drive category performance through competitive retail audits and daily/weekly reporting on availability, shrinkage, and sales insights. Set up and activate promotions in the internal promo tool, visit markets/stores for seasonal item selection and freshness checks, and coordinate with demand planners and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist the Fresh Food Category Manager with collecting weekly price quotations from produce suppliers and proposing item allocations based on cost and supplier service levels.
•Collect retail audit information from competition to inform category decisions.
•Generate daily/weekly availability performance, shrinkage, and sales reports to derive category insights.
•Set up, launch, and activate promotional campaigns in the internal promo tool.
•Visit the central market for new seasonal items and tMart stores to monitor freshness and quality, while coordinating with demand planners and suppliers for timely delivery.

Key Requirements

•At least 3+ years of experience in developing and managing multiple fresh food categories, ideally for large retailers (FMCG) in an international setting.
•Technical fresh food knowledge to provide accurate input to the manager.
•Commercial knowledge including profitability, margin calculations, feasibility, and benchmarking.
•Strong detail-orientation and structured approach, with the ability to prioritize and deliver solutions without creating bottlenecks.
