Job Summary

Leader of the Environment team (Contaminated Land and Environmental Impact Assessments) delivering and growing projects across diverse sectors from Canberra. You’ll mentor staff, drive client relationships, contribute to proposals, manage project delivery, and champion safety, quality and continuous improvement in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and inspire a high performing Environment team, fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, safety and quality across project delivery.
•Drive strategic growth by building strong client relationships, supporting business development initiatives and contributing to winning proposals and bids.
•Oversee the successful delivery of Contaminated Land and/or Environmental Impact Assessments projects, providing technical guidance and ensuring outcomes meet client and business expectations.
•Mentor and develop team members at all levels, supporting technical capability, career growth and future leadership development.
•Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, using strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Environmental Science or a related discipline with ideally 10+ years of Environment Consulting experience
•Proven experience delivering environmental projects and strong understanding of impact assessments and contamination investigations
•Australian citizenship is preferred due to defence-related requirements, and experience working within Defence environments will be highly regarded
•Strong leadership and relationship-building skills with a passion for mentoring and developing high performing teams
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels
