Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and CarMax standards.
  • •Maintain accurate and compliant DOT logs and documentation.
  • •Load, secure, transport, and unload CarMax vehicles safely and efficiently, including hands-on freight handling.
  • •Move vehicles between CarMax locations, approved vendors, and customer locations using a company-provided truck while keeping equipment operationally ready.
  • •Deliver vehicles to customers and pick up vehicles for appraisal by following CarMax Standard Work and completing paperwork accurately.

Salary: USD 20.8 - 35.3 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
  • •Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years and ability to meet CarMax Driver Safety Evaluation criteria.
  • •Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive vehicle-loading and securing tasks (e.g., chains, binders, straps).
  • •Ability to climb, bend, and kneel to access and secure vehicles on multi-level transport decks.
  • •Meet DOT & FMCSA qualification requirements, including possessing or obtaining a DOT Medical Card before starting.
