Key Responsibilities

  • •Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches escalated from L1 support, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • •Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from sources including SIEM platforms (e.g., QRADAR) and security dashboards.
  • •Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and coordinate penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and networks.
  • •Implement, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security technologies including firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortigate, Check Point), IDS/IPS, EDR/AV, CipherTrust tokenization, HSM, 2FA, PAM, IBM Guradium, and Rapid7.
  • •Develop and enforce security policies and documentation, proactively hunt for threats, and prepare detailed reports; may participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation onsite if necessary.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • •3+ years of proven cybersecurity/information security experience focused on L2 support or similar responsibilities, including mission-critical systems with a 99.9% SLA.
  • •Strong understanding of security protocols, TCP/IP, network security, and operating systems (Linux, Windows), plus cloud security concepts.
  • •Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, vulnerability scanners (e.g., Tenable), and incident response platforms.
  • •Preferred: CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or CISSP; strong analytical, problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
