Job Summary

Design and scale secure, high-impact frontend systems for Mercado Pago, developing and evolving the wonder-sdk-web used by integrators and end users. You’ll work on security-critical, high-visibility initiatives, leveraging WebAssembly to protect sensitive logic and make reverse engineering harder. Collaborate with the WebSec team on defensive solutions using OWASP and web security techniques, while partnering cross-functionally with Android, iOS, Web, and product experts.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and evolve the wonder-sdk-web SDK used by integrators and end users, ensuring security, performance, and reliability.
•Work on high-visibility, high-criticality projects addressing challenges in security and artificial intelligence.
•Use WebAssembly to protect sensitive logic and hinder reverse engineering while preserving SDK integrity.
•Collaborate with the WebSec team to build defensive solutions applying OWASP, spoofing, XSS, validation bypass, and binary analysis knowledge.
•Partner cross-functionally with Android, iOS, Web, and product teams, working closely with biometrics and security specialists and incorporating AI tooling strategies.

Key Requirements

•Experience as a Web Engineer with a security focus, understanding threats and applying mitigations directly in code.
•Build modern web applications with JS/TS and React, following security best practices such as OWASP, XSS, spoofing, reverse engineering, and validation bypasses.
•Hands-on experience with WebAssembly or demonstrated deep technical interest in the technology.
•Experience with behavior tracking/monitoring (e.g., Amplitude) and observability (Datadog, New Relic, or similar tools).
•Use AI tools—especially Claude and Codex—to support development, quality, and team productivity.
