Job Summary

Lead the creation and operation of On’s Product Archive from Zurich HQ. Build a holistic archive strategy, manage physical and digital collections, design a scalable data infrastructure, and collaborate with Design and Product teams to turn archival knowledge into actionable, inspiring insights for current concepts and exhibitions.

Job Function: Administration & Executive Assistance

Key Responsibilities

•Define and execute a holistic archive strategy to create an authoritative, accessible knowledge base for internal research and brand preservation.
•Oversee full lifecycle of physical collections, including depot planning, organization, qualification, and long-term conservation of items (shoes, textiles, accessories).
•Architect and drive the digital repository, leading implementation of archive databases and metadata standards to ensure searchable, usable history.
•Collaborate with Design and Product teams to establish the archive as a high-access creative engine, building workflows for searching, borrowing, and analyzing historical references.
•Partner with exhibition programming to position the archive as a cultural landmark with curated context and material expertise, while managing budgets, vendors, and IT collaborations.

Key Requirements

•Heritage and cultural/archive management experience (6-8 years)
•Highly organized with rigorous inventory, documentation, and data standards
•Strong systems thinking with ability to design and maintain complex data architectures
•Collaborative and communicative across IT, Finance, Design and Marketing
•Ability to translate archival records into compelling, actionable insights for designers
