Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead new venture debt origination activities to grow deposits, loan commitments/outstandings, and non-interest income while managing credit risk.
  • •Self-generate and own primary day-to-day relationships with key contacts in the venture ecosystem.
  • •Source high-quality deals and sponsor them through underwriting, structuring, credit committee process, and closing.
  • •Manage documentation, negotiate terms, and close credit requests with limited assistance.
  • •Support and develop less experienced bankers and analysts, including interviewing/hiring and performance management, goal planning, counseling, and coaching/training.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of venture technology innovation banking experience is required.
  • •Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant work experience or training.
  • •Knowledge of and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations, including Regulation Z, Regulation B, FHA, HMDA, RESPA, FCRA, BSA/USA PATRIOT Act, AML/CIP, RFPA, and CRA.
  • •High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • •Ability to leverage a personal network across venture capital, growth equity, private equity, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem to generate new loan clients.
