Key Responsibilities

  • •Create and implement a business development strategy for a targeted new client base.
  • •Cultivate new investment management relationships in the UHNW client space and support the wealth management approach for prospects and current clients.
  • •Lead consultative discussions with clients (and representatives) on estate planning services, leveraging knowledge of wealth transfer and tax planning strategies.
  • •Develop internal and external professional networks and showcase Northern Trust capabilities to communities, clients, and professional advisors.
  • •Serve as liaison to Northern Trust to help clients’ needs evolve and manage transition of ongoing client contact/account management to appropriate teams.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of sales and relationship management experience, preferably in wealth management.
  • •Strong network of Centers of Influence (attorneys, estate planning professionals, CPAs) for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • •Knowledge of fiduciary capabilities and services (e.g., personal trusts, living trusts, wills, investment management, custody, estate and tax planning) including fee structures and documentation.
  • •Ability to profile a client’s financial landscape and advise across Northern Trust capabilities.
  • •Series 7 and Series 63 licenses are required; CFP, CFTA, CFA, or CIMA are strongly preferred.
