Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections with follow-up repairs for trucks and trailers in a mobile environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair complex vehicle systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and use tools/instruments (including handheld computers and pressure gauges) to diagnose malfunctions; road test vehicles as needed.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair documentation (RO) and upload required photos using the company iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or 5 years’ experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply the set of hand tools necessary to perform the role.
  • •Be able to successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Required certifications: ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609 (or obtained within 18 months).
