Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise well site monitoring jobs and set performance standards for the crew.
  • •Gather accurate logging data (depth, gas units/composition, rate of penetration, lag time, engineering data/calculations, pressure detection).
  • •Interpret logging information to determine occurrence and composition of oil and/or gas shows; analyze and document SLS zone of interest and show reports.
  • •Assemble mud logs and drilling database entries following SLS and/or customer guidelines; communicate mud logging information to customers (e.g., morning reports, show notifications, delivery of mud logs).
  • •Manage rig-up/rig-down and cutting samples logistics, maintain transmittal sheets, follow procedures and ensure smooth personnel handoffs/briefings.

Key Requirements

  • •Under broad supervision, perform role of supervisor with higher experience, executing all duties of an INSITE Specialist-SDL, Jr.
  • •Skills acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Science, Geology or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years relevant SDL experience.
  • •Must have successfully passed company tests or met task guideline requirements, including minimum competency requirements for the INSITE Spec- SDL.
  • •Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude and perform quality work with no direct supervision.
  • •Must possess relevant offshore certificates as required and have good communication and supervisory/leadership skills.
