Job Summary

Lead the planning, development, and execution of the Collins Configuration Management System, ensuring contractual and DoD-aligned configuration discipline throughout the product lifecycle. Partner with engineering, program management, quality, and operations teams to maintain technical baselines, author configuration management plans, and support audits and configuration status accounting. Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders, co-chair CCBs, and contribute to bid/proposal configuration management content using modern CM and ALM tools in Agile and Waterfall DevSecOps environments.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the planning, development, and execution of the Collins Configuration Management System aligned with contractual requirements, EIA-649C, DoD guidance, and ISO 9001:2015.
•Develop tailored configuration management plans and guide program stakeholders to ensure consistent adherence across the lifecycle.
•Enforce configuration discipline by defining configuration items, baselines, and identifiers; participate in CCBs and peer reviews to support change decisions.
•Conduct configuration surveillance, and co-chair functional and physical configuration audits to verify product integrity.
•Maintain configuration status accounting records and support CM bid/proposal efforts by authoring technical proposal content.

Key Requirements

•Active and transferable Secret security clearance required prior to start, with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance and SAP access.
•Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 5 years experience.
•Demonstrated understanding of configuration management standards, including SAE EIA-649 and DoD MIL-HDBK-61B guidance.
•Ability to interpret customer Statements of Work (SOWs) and identify applicable configuration management requirements.
•Hands-on experience with configuration management and ALM tools, including Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), GitLab, Artifactory, and product data management systems such as Enovia or Windchill.
