Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee and conduct inspections on TTC construction projects, including station upgrades, accessibility improvements, second exits, fire ventilation systems, track work, subway yards, and bus facilities.
  • •Verify that work materials and methods meet contract requirements and safety standards.
  • •Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for active construction contracts.
  • •Issue and follow up on contract deficiency reports, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
  • •Serve as a liaison between contractors, TTC staff, municipalities, and utility companies while monitoring compliance with safety, security, and operational standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Completion of a University or College program in Civil, Structural, Architectural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • •Minimum 3+ years of experience inspecting large, multi-discipline or heavy construction capital projects.
  • •Familiarity with bus garage and car house operations, with experience in civil/structural, mechanical, or electrical disciplines.
  • •Strong knowledge of construction inspection principles, materials, and equipment.
  • •Ability to interpret contract drawings and specifications and ensure compliance.
