Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and develop a team of safety scientists, driving performance, growth, scientific rigor, and continuous improvement across assigned portfolio.
  • •Ensure timely and high-quality benefit–risk assessments and safety science delivery, including governance-ready recommendations and compliance with PV regulations.
  • •Manage portfolio safety strategy by setting team goals aligned to TA and product strategy and supporting project-specific safety strategy with medical directors.
  • •Author or review clinical safety sections of key documents and lead aggregate safety reporting, signal surveillance analysis, and presentation at cross-functional decision forums.
  • •Lead health authority query workstreams and oversee risk management plan and related risk minimization documentation (including endorsement and sign-off).

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced degree in a biologic/medical/clinical/nursing field (Pharmacist/PharmD, Nurse Practitioner, or PhD) preferred.
  • •At least 7+ years of drug safety/pharmacovigilance experience in the pharmaceutical industry or biotech.
  • •Subject-matter expertise in global pharmacovigilance regulations with up-to-date knowledge of evolving requirements.
  • •Experience preparing aggregate safety reports and conducting signal surveillance, including risk/benefit analysis and safety assessment.
  • •Strong strategic leadership, scientific writing, analytical/problem-solving skills, and project management for cross-functional workstreams.
