Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field environment. Manage parts inventory on a company service truck, complete DOT forms and repair orders with photos via an iOS device/proprietary app, and work safely under OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections with follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment.
•Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment (electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and more).
•Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment; use tools and test instruments to diagnose malfunctions and perform road tests.
•Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
•Maintain vehicle safety by operating the service truck safely, completing pre-/post-trip inspections, documenting work on repair orders, and uploading required photos/findings.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or 5 years’ experience as an alternative combination).
•Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
•Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
•Be able to successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment (or submit a current DOT medical card with required remaining validity).
•Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license; maintain a Driver Qualification File.
