Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck systems (electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials) and conduct road tests.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using test instruments; identify problems and apply sound judgment to evaluate alternatives.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on a company service truck, including maintaining the vehicle, conducting safety checks, and completing pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document findings by completing DOT forms and uploading Repair Orders/pictures of work performed, parts used, and observations using a company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination such as additional degree/certification or 5 years of experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the role.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; a valid DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity may be submitted in lieu.
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and have a valid state-of-residence driver’s license; maintain a Driver Qualification File.
