Key Responsibilities

  • •Characterization, tuning and optimization of power and performance for Cloud, Enterprise, HPC/ML/AI workloads.
  • •Propose micro-architectural and software/firmware enhancements to improve CPU performance and power efficiency on customer applications, collaborating with compiler, kernel, firmware and core/fabric teams.
  • •Perform system and micro-architecture level performance debugging and resolve silicon-level performance and power observations with cross-functional teams.
  • •Collaborate with pre-silicon teams to project performance of next-gen silicon and debug discrepancies between measured and expected performance.
  • •Engage in cross-team collaboration to drive performance improvements across AMD EPYC workloads

Key Requirements

  • •Experience with CPU core, memory, storage and I/O subsystems
  • •Proficient in performance profiling and hardware performance counter tools
  • •Familiarity with cloud/enterprise software and ML workloads (e.g., databases, data analytics, machine learning)
  • •Strong programming skills and data analysis ability (Excel or Python)
  • •Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
