Job Summary

Join the Planning and Mobility team to help government and transport clients improve public transport networks across Brisbane. You’ll use data and spatial analysis to develop evidence-based service planning recommendations, supported by customer travel behaviour insights. Work on integrated transport and land use planning, engage stakeholders and communities through workshops and consultation, and communicate options through clear reports and presentations while monitoring and refining service performance over time.

Key Responsibilities

•Identify opportunities to improve frequency, coverage, connectivity, and customer outcomes of public transport networks.
•Use data and spatial analysis to develop service planning recommendations.
•Develop strategies to encourage public transport use using customer travel behaviour knowledge.
•Support integrated transport and land use planning to connect public transport with growth areas, centres, corridors, and places.
•Prepare reports, presentations, and advice; monitor and evaluate service performance and contribute to public consultation and stakeholder workshops.

Key Requirements

•Experience in public transport planning, ideally bus networks, service planning, integrated transport planning, or network strategy.
•Experience in major event service planning, or interest in service planning for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
•Strong analytical skills to interpret service data, travel patterns, demand, land use context, and customer needs.
•Experience working with government clients, transport authorities, or local government stakeholders.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), and strong written and verbal communication skills.
