Key Responsibilities

  • •Independently scope and run mixed-method studies across a product area, from exploratory discovery to usability tests and in-product surveys.
  • •Build deep understanding of pros and the tools they need to run successful businesses and champion their needs.
  • •Get up to speed quickly in unfamiliar products/markets, structuring ambiguity into clear research questions and plans.
  • •Use AI tools across the research lifecycle (synthesis, analysis, instrument/guide drafting, reporting) and build lightweight AI artifacts to accelerate learning, with critical evaluation.
  • •Synthesize and share qualitative and quantitative insights through reports and presentations, partnering with product, design, engineering, and data science to drive action.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 121,600 - 157,300 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years in applied research roles with a degree in a behavioral/social science field or equivalent practical experience (advanced degree a plus).
  • •Strong command of qualitative and quantitative methods, designing and running studies end to end (interviews, usability studies, surveys, concept tests).
  • •Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data with basic statistics (e.g., t-tests, correlations) and proficient research tools use.
  • •Experience (hands-on) using AI to accelerate and scale research, with critical evaluation for accuracy and bias.
  • •Proficiency with research tools such as Qualtrics, dscout, Sprig, and Rally; SQL or other data-querying skills are a plus.
