Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide specialist technical consultancy and design services across ITS, smart cities, mobility solutions, and C-ITS for project development, bids, and delivery.
  • •Act as a technology scout by staying aware of new developments and helping evaluate emerging technologies to solve real-world transport problems.
  • •Lead research, data analysis, and recommendations relative to client needs, technology, and future direction.
  • •Capture client, stakeholder, system, and user requirements; develop system architecture, design documentation, and technical reports.
  • •Undertake problem analysis, feasibility and detailed design tasks, and ensure technical deliverable quality aligns with client brief and AECOM quality procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •BEng (or equivalent) in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Maths or Physics.
  • •Experience in a similar role across Smart Cities, Intelligent Transport Systems, Connected and Automated Vehicles, MaaS, or communications network design.
  • •Knowledge of ITS and technologies that contribute to modern transportation.
  • •Knowledge of transport technology market demands, trends, and challenges.
  • •Experience in stakeholder engagement, feasibility/options studies, and working directly with clients.
