Key Responsibilities

  • •Support development of project proposals by defining requirements, scope, resourcing, programme, and budget for successful delivery.
  • •Create and maintain project documentation including project plans, cost forecasts, risk registers, and schedules; take ownership of smaller projects and support senior colleagues on larger work.
  • •Monitor progress and help drive delivery against agreed timelines to keep projects on track.
  • •Manage project costs day-to-day by tracking time, budgets, forecasts, and spend aligned with progress.
  • •Ensure health and safety requirements are in place for site visits and support contract management and administration while proactively managing change and risk.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience working as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager within a project or PMO environment in environmental or sustainability sectors.
  • •Strong understanding of programme management principles (work breakdown structures, dependencies, critical path) and ability to interpret tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
  • •Commercial awareness, including managing budgets, tracking performance, and supporting change control for projects delivered within budget; familiarity with NEC3/4 is advantageous.
  • •Confident written and verbal communicator who can share key information and keep teams and stakeholders informed.
  • •Working towards or holding membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., PMI, APM, MIEnvSc, MIEMA, MRICS) and an interest in the environment or sustainable land development.
