Job Summary

Lead a team of solution and data architects and stay hands-on in designing and delivering end-to-end data platform solutions across Azure Synapse and Databricks. Drive architectural direction, review technical designs, define solution patterns and reference architectures, and ensure consistency and quality across transformation projects. Partner with stakeholders across supply chain, commerce, manufacturing, corporate tech, and omni-channel to enable scalable, maintainable data products aligned to data architecture principles.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and develop a team of solution and data architects, including coaching, performance management, career development conversations, and hiring.
•Define and maintain team OKRs aligned to broader data & analytics and business objectives.
•Own the architecture team’s roadmap, prioritising work across transformation projects and ensuring capacity is allocated effectively.
•Set architectural direction across the data platform and ensure consistency across Azure Synapse and Databricks environments.
•Review and provide feedback on technical designs, define solution patterns/reference architectures/best practices, and lead technical design sessions collaboratively.

Key Requirements

•Proven hands-on experience designing and implementing data platform solutions with production-grade delivery at scale, including 2–3 years in a team lead/manager/senior architect role with people management responsibilities.
•Experience leading and developing technical teams, including performance management, career development, and building team culture.
•Experience owning delivery roadmaps, OKRs, and budgets for an architecture or engineering function.
•Strong technical foundation across data platform stack, including Databricks lakehouse (Delta Lake, medallion patterns), Azure Synapse (star schemas, dedicated pools), and data pipeline orchestration (ADF or Databricks Workflows).
•Experience with data quality frameworks, data contracts, and computational governance approaches.
