Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute complete setups and complex machining runs on multi-axis CNC mills, multi-axis manual lathes, and specialized grinders.
  • •Independently program and edit G-code via the controller or CAM software (including Catia), and create/review/correct DXF and NC files.
  • •Interpret engineering plans/blueprints and GD&T; inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools and manage rework vs. scrap decisions.
  • •Select tooling, cutting tools, speeds, and feeds to achieve efficiency and surface finish.
  • •Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to resolve discrepancies while managing work orders/time charging and maintaining accurate SAP data integrity.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent, plus formal technical/professional/vocational training in machining (e.g., apprenticeship or metalworking program).
  • •Minimum five (5) years of documented experience as a CNC/manual machinist, preferably in aerospace/aviation/high-precision manufacturing.
  • •Proven ability to machine challenging aerospace alloys, including Titanium and pre-hardened steels (and aluminum alloys).
  • •Ability to interpret complex blueprints/drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • •Proficiency writing/reading/editing G-code and using CNC control interfaces (e.g., Fanuc or Siemens), plus CAM/ERP tools such as Catia and SAP.
