Key Responsibilities

  • •Underwrite large new and renewal property accounts to meet top and bottom-line targets.
  • •Negotiate participation, pricing, and terms with brokers and proactively manage capacity.
  • •Contribute to the development and execution of the global Property underwriting strategy at a regional level.
  • •Support local operating entities with technical excellence, growth aspirations, and continued profitability, and steer portfolio performance.
  • •Represent Allianz Commercial externally and coordinate functional area involvement in the underwriting process (including Distribution, Risk Consulting, Claims, and Operations).

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in engineering, economics, finance, actuarial science, law, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • •Experience in property underwriting or as a broker in the Property line of business.
  • •Strong broker relationships and excellent understanding of regional and local property insurance markets and competition.
  • •Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework relevant to the role.
  • •Ability to assess property risk exposures and natural hazards and to design consistent, robust policy wordings.
