Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct regular facility safety audits and ensure compliance with regulations and codes (building, fire, electrical), including OHDS/TDG/Reg. 309.
  • •Manage the site maintenance workload by setting priorities, supervising internal staff and outside contractors, and establishing preventative maintenance testing.
  • •Manage facilities projects end-to-end, including budgeting, cost/benefit reviews with Finance, and staying within capital budgets and deadlines.
  • •Manage vendor contracts and act as primary contact for alarm company and security services, including being on-call for weekend/evening calls.
  • •Serve as liaison with federal/provincial/municipal agencies, insurance provider, and the City/region for site road/property issues; coordinate tenant repair, modification, and enhancement requests.

Key Requirements

  • •Post-secondary education in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field is an asset.
  • •Minimum 5-7 years of facilities supervision or management experience, preferably in a warehouse/distribution and office environment.
  • •Proven ability to manage maintenance projects, timelines, and budgets.
  • •Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security) and applicable regulations/codes (OHSA, TDG, building/fire/electrical codes).
  • •Experience managing vendor contracts and service agreements, including strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
