Job Summary

Analyze and assess corporate and trade finance transactions across structured credit and sovereign risk, applying Allianz Trade underwriting guidelines. Conduct sectoral, financial, and legal risk analyses with a focus on emerging markets, make credit decisions within authority or escalate complex cases, and ensure governance of credit limits. Partner with commercial underwriters to grow a global portfolio and represent Allianz Trade at conferences while monitoring portfolio performance and recommending risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze and underwrite transactions in corporate & trade finance, structured credit, and sovereign risk in line with Allianz Trade guidelines.
•Perform sectoral, financial, and legal risk assessments, using internal and external credit expertise with an emphasis on emerging markets.
•Review public and private debtors for short- and mid-term obligations, make decisions within authority, and escalate complex cases as needed.
•Support governance by ensuring credit limits and review principles are strictly followed.
•Work with commercial underwriters and manage the portfolio by monitoring risk, proposing mitigation actions, handling waivers, and contributing to regular credit reviews.

Key Requirements

•Completed a degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field to support credit checks and risk management.
•Relevant experience in credit insurance, banking, multilateral institutions, and/or export credit agencies (ECAs), ideally with exposure to credit assessment, risk management, or financial analysis.
•Solid knowledge of the credit insurance industry, including products, regulations, and market dynamics, plus understanding of political risk markets and the banking sector.
•Strong analytical skills for business analysis, financial evaluation, and risk assessment across both private and public risks.
•Fluent German and English (written and spoken) and the ability to communicate clearly across organization levels.
